Radko Gudas And Tyler Johnson Headline McDonalds’ Radio Show
In what has become a tradition during the regular season, the “Lightning Hockey Night” radio show left the studio and set up at a Bay area McDonalds on Wednesday night. Fans decked out in Bolts blue filled the restaurant on West Kennedy Boulevard for a chance to hear from two of the team’s younger players. Defenseman Radko Gudas and Center Tyler Johnson were the featured guests for the show and did not disappoint. (Photos/Susan Ferlita)
Joined by Rick Peckham and Dave Andreychuk, the two Lightning rookies fielded questions about their journey to the NHL. Gudas and Johnson both spent junior hockey in the Western Hockey League. On opposite teams in the league, Johnson noted how much he hated playing against Gudas and doesn’t envy their opponents now. They also touched on this week’s off ice team building which included a fishing trip and a family barbeque at MacDill Air Force Base.
After their segments, the players went outside to meet the fans. Autographs were given, photos were taken, a great night overall. Per the official Lightning site, the next McDonald’s radio show is set for November sixth. No word on the location or guests for the event have been released as of this time.
